Neighborhood Spotlight - Copeland Manor Georgians'

I recently listed a home for sale in the Copeland Manor neighborhood (seen above) of Libertyville.  This home is like many others in Copeland Manor in that it has the charm of yesteryear (whenever that was) but many of the modern ammenities you'd find today.

Copeland Manor has a variety of home styles built over almost a hundred years, but the best-known and most recoginable style in Copeland Manor is perhaps the two-bedroom Georgian (seen to the right).  These homes were built primarily between 1947 and 1950 and are characterized by their brick first stories and the siding on the second story.
Traditionally these homes we built with two bedrooms and one bath, a small living and dining area, a galley kitchen and a basement.  Over the years many homeowners have added bathrooms, bedrooms and other living space through additions or finished basements.
Primarily located between 2nd and 7th (from west to east) and Briar and Lincoln (from south to north) the location is attractive to many due to it's close proximity to the grade school, parks and main street shopping and dining and even access to the train station on the north end of downtown.
For more information on what homes in this area are currently selling for or are curious about what your Copeland Manor home may be wothh can go to http://www.copelandmanorhomes.com/  If you currently own one or have owned one of these great homes, please comment below and tell me about it.
