Main Street Smokehouse - Great food at a good price
Main Street Smokehouse in Libertyville is great if you like BBQ places where you get to choose from a variety of sauces (let the record show I also love breakfast places with different flavors of syrup. Strawberry is my favorite for those taking notes). They have four different kinds at my count including a Maple Chipotle and an Apple Cider Ale sauce.
Getting to the specials though...so far as I can tell they have a weekly special that somewhat rotates, but every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday they offer their pork, chicken and brisket sandwiches (one each day) for just $5 at lunch time and it includes a side. I enjoyed the sweet potatoe (the "e" is for Dan Quail) fries myself. The sandwich was huge and delicious and I had leftovers (that I left in the fridge, forgot about for a week, then threw out). This is quite a deal considering last time I went to Panera I had to sell blood first to buy the soup and 1/2 sandwich combo which, with a drink. was about $10.
Anyway...Main Street Smokehouse is located at 536 N. North Milwaukee in downtown Libertyville, IL. While you're there check out some of the great shops, the new bakery Lovin' Ovens and the wine store Vive le Vine.
