Farmers Market in Libertyville to Return
The Main Street Libertyville Farmers Market will return to Cook Park again this year. Starting June 24th from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm Libertyville will be home to the Main Street Libertyville Farmers Market. You'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods, cheeses, meats (my personal favorite), potted plants (these tase kind of funny!), cut flowers bouquets, coffee & donuts, kettle popcorn, jams, jelly, and sauces.
So come on out and support local farmers and vendors while buying healthy and fresh (maybe the donuts aren't that healthy...but they are fresh) food for your family. While you're downtown grab lunch and go shopping at some of the great restaurants and stores that down town Libertyville has to offer.

Neighborhood Spotlight - Copeland Manor Georgians'
I recently listed a home for sale in the Copeland Manor neighborhood (seen above) of Libertyville. This home is like many others in Copeland Manor in that it has the charm of yesteryear (whenever that was) but many of the modern ammenities you'd find today.
Copeland Manor has a variety of home styles built over almost a hundred years, but the best-known and most recoginable style in Copeland Manor is perhaps the two-bedroom Georgian (seen to the right). These homes were built primarily between 1947 and 1950 and are characterized by their brick first stories and the siding on the second story.
Traditionally these homes we built with two bedrooms and one bath, a small living and dining area, a galley kitchen and a basement. Over the years many homeowners have added bathrooms, bedrooms and other living space through additions or finished basements.Primarily located between 2nd and 7th (from west to east) and Briar and Lincoln (from south to north) the location is attractive to many due to it's close proximity to the grade school, parks and main street shopping and dining and even access to the train station on the north end of downtown.
For more information on what homes in this area are currently selling for or are curious about what your Copeland Manor home may be wothh can go to http://www.copelandmanorhomes.com/ If you currently own one or have owned one of these great homes, please comment below and tell me about it.
Main Street Smokehouse - Great food at a good price
Main Street Smokehouse in Libertyville is great if you like BBQ places where you get to choose from a variety of sauces (let the record show I also love breakfast places with different flavors of syrup. Strawberry is my favorite for those taking notes). They have four different kinds at my count including a Maple Chipotle and an Apple Cider Ale sauce.
Getting to the specials though...so far as I can tell they have a weekly special that somewhat rotates, but every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday they offer their pork, chicken and brisket sandwiches (one each day) for just $5 at lunch time and it includes a side. I enjoyed the sweet potatoe (the "e" is for Dan Quail) fries myself. The sandwich was huge and delicious and I had leftovers (that I left in the fridge, forgot about for a week, then threw out). This is quite a deal considering last time I went to Panera I had to sell blood first to buy the soup and 1/2 sandwich combo which, with a drink. was about $10.
Anyway...Main Street Smokehouse is located at 536 N. North Milwaukee in downtown Libertyville, IL. While you're there check out some of the great shops, the new bakery Lovin' Ovens and the wine store Vive le Vine.
*feel free to write your reviews or e-mail me with other specials you know of. Don't forget to subscribe or bookmark this page to hear when new specials are posted. Don't be selfish, share this with a friend!
